The battle of the titans has ensued with the two top holidays going at it. The two holiday locations that receive the most searches and the most conversions are between Egypt and the Caribbean. Egypt is more than capable to hold against all of the Caribbean islands.
Cuba holidays have really taken off in the last 10 years, boosting the overall tourism industry in the Caribbean to massive amounts. Saying that, With some of the most pleasant countries in the world like Barbados or St Lucia, the Caribbean receives many visitors every day. Also these islands vary quite a lot from one to the other. Cuba has its own separated frozen in time history whereas Barbados is very modern and rich looking country. The St Lucia island is ever growing, the lush forests, and the fantastic spa therapies.
But can this effect Egypt's chances of being the more popular holiday destination? Well look at it this way, every month around 130,000 people search for Egypt holidays just in the UK. That’s a phenomenal number, and although it is less than all of the Caribbean island searches, the number of searches for Egypt outweighs that of any other single country, at the moment.
But why egypt? If you consider what Egypt's history is, it is home to some of the oldest civilizations in the world. With such a diverse and extensive history dating back over 7000 years and most documented, this makes Egypt very unique. Egypt may have a very extensive and long history, but that's not the only thing that draws people to it, another reason is the many different activities awaiting any tourist. Everywhere you go there is something interesting to see. Egypt has a great climate as well, although for some this maybe too hot.
